You're my experimental game..

So i gotta steal a pally and fly to Blade's Edge fer some experimentin. Arena theory and all...

The question... do auras and totems obey LOS? Or can I place a totem under the bridge and windfury that worthless warrior?

Other questions that I'd like answered...

When I respecced Mabd to BM... my cast time on SS and AS went down to 1.1 and 2.2 secs, respectively. How come I've never noticed this before? BRK... do freaking hunter attack speed talents/gear (i.e. quivers) affect shot casting speed or cooldowns?

And second... how the hell does a SL/SL lock dps? I gotta friend who's gettin horrible results in arena and instance running. He can't even beat a pally tank. Whats the strategy via Arena and PvE? Any tips, Braids?

You dang right they do! What you're discovered is the Magic of Haste!

Haste is like Crunch Berries: awesome, incredible, delicious, but only up to a point.

This is one of, if not the main reason, Serpent's Swiftness makes the BM tree the most powerful of the three in terms of pure DPS.

I am guessing ya mean me? well, kinda hard to dps if my main job is to keep the healers feared and such. But as always I will take any instructions or tips on how to contribute better.

I would point out that SL/SL is a PvP spec based on survivability. It does almost all it's damage from corruption, CoA, and Siphon Life. Then you fear and drain tank. It really really sucks for PvE.

If you want a spec that is good for both PvE and PvP you're better off going with the broken sacrifice/Demo spec. You don't have the survivabilty, but you have monster DPS.

Yep, SL/SL is about TPS (tears per second), not DPS. For PVE it sucks!

You DOT up everything in this order (take 5's for example), main target, secondary swap target, healer #1, healer #2. DOT rotation I use is Corruption, Curse of Agony, Siphon Life.

Depending on if you're focused or not will let you choose what to do next---if you're uncontested, you want to start juggling Fear+Curse of Tongues on the healers to at least force PVP trinkets if they haven't already.

Only Fear once. GO back and reapply (in the case they were dispelled) DOTs on main target, secondary target, healers, then back to Fear+COT rotations.

The idea is to muck up as many GCD's from their teams healers while the rest of your teams DPS continues pressure.

Yes, at the end of the match, Damage and Healing stats are shown on the chart, but if GCD's spent would be a stat, you'd see the benefit of the SL/SL Lock in hard numbers.

Thanks Megan, I will try that next arena. That was exactly the kind of advice I was looking for.
